Nordic Rose Quartz & Serenity

This Pantone color of the year... It’s the shades of winter. Color of extreme cold. Color of January. Pakkanen. Just see my previous post. Or the following pictures.frozen lake

All taken in January, in Scandinavia/Finland, with freezing cold hands. But still, that Nordic soothing sense of order and peace, when everything is either covered by snow, frost and/or frozen. Quiet, tranquil, connected. That’s wellness.

Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace

frost

Rose Quartz is a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Serenity is weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, bringing feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times.

This January I won’t travel to Tromsø like I’ve did the last three years , since this January I’ll try NBE and Matka Travel Fair for the first time (thanks for the invite!).

But I highly recommend Tromsø for the ones who can, especially now, during Tromsø International Film Festival (Tiff) and these^ colors. It really does bring feelings of respite and relaxation, despite the cold and turbulent times. Tromsø is always a good idea, trust me.

Shades of Winter

To do: Work, eat, train, sleep, repeat. Occasionally almost every day visit post to receive something or send something. And most importantly, pray for snow. Because it’s climate change, the holiday season and Engelberg waiting.
To do: Työskentele, nuku, syö ja treenaa. Toista yhä uudellen ja uudelleen. Käy välillä postissa hakemassa tai lähettämässä paketteja. Ja mikä tärkeintä: rukoile lisää lunta. Koska ilmastonmuutos, joulukuu ja Engelberg yhden yön takana.

Suomi Finland

Happy 98’th Birthday, dear Finland. For me, you’re all about the freedom. Thank you for that.

And right now, thank you for the pouring rain, which helps me to stay in working. Even though we and I are doing nicely, we and I can always do more and better. Dream big and work for those dreams. Especially since we have been given fought for the freedom which allows us to do almost everything we want to do and go almost wherever we want to go. Or stay where we are, if that’s what one prefers.

Probably I don’t need to say that I prefer going.

vapaus on paras asia

Live and learn

The lyrics of the song tell a true story: on 4 December 1971 Deep Purple were in Montreux, Switzerland, where they had set up camp to record an album using a mobile recording studio (rented from the Rolling Stones and known as the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio—referred to as the “Rolling truck Stones thing” and “a mobile” in the song lyrics) at the entertainment complex that was part of the Montreux Casino (referred to as “the gambling house” in the song lyric).

Some random things I’ve stumbled upon while preparing for  being so damn excited about the Switzerland trip.

Take a flight on the wild side

Prepping for Switzerland & Engelberg going on. It’s been storming outside, while inside I’ve been training, reading, watching films and booking flights, topped with day job. I’ve also bought the first christmas presents and running shoes, thanks for web shops and  UPS especially since the Finnish Post

Interestingly, the flights part might get to be the most exciting experience during my Swiss adventure, since these days i’s not so easy to trust on Finavia’s / Finnair’s / Flybe’s (btw, shouldn’t it be Norra already?) ability to deliver the service I’ve ordered from them and paid for them. Luckily (for them) their monopoly for this exact route do not give me any chance to choose another service provider, with i.e. better track record on fulfilling their promises.

But I really hope that for once they’d surprise me positively & that my skis nor I get behind the kinda tight schedule. Instead, I hope to get myself and my skis smoothly to the destination. The snow reports from Alps has been promising, which is something I definitely do not wanna miss. And of course, one should never miss Gruyere.

Kahvi

Kuten rahanmenokin.
