Pause ||

When your friends are on news commenting on how it is to live in a city (one of “my cities”) during a lockdown, & other crazy stuff is happening, I feel like pausing. Especially if & when I’m buried under the mountains of sheets, November light peeking gently through the window. Like it was last Sunday in Stockholm.

A fermata[ferˈmaːta] (also known as a hold, pause, colloquially a birdseye or cyclops eye, or as a grand pause when placed on a note or a rest) is a symbol of musical notation indicating that the note should be prolonged beyond its normal duration or note value would indicate.

Se oli sunnuntai Tukholmassa. Televisiossa BBC, ikkunasta kurkottava marraskuun aurinko ja lakanavuoristo. Niitä hetkiä, jolloin olisi toivonut elämästä löytyvän pause -nappi tai jokin muu keino pysäyttää aika ennen kuin mitään pahempaa ehtisi tapahtua.
