Sunday in Kuopio

Since I’m the new girl in town (quite a common problem tradition for me) there’s not many social activities to choose from yet, especially on Sunday’s (the official finnish “stay home with your family” -day). Therefore I have time for things like coffee in bed, sports and cooking for the next week. Reading and travel planning dreaming. Working woman blues etc.

Today it’s tabbouleh in the making. I use the recipe, or improvise from the parts I remember, by Tessa Kiros. Her book “Falling Cloudberries / A World of Family Recipe” sums up pretty much everything I like from Finnish and foreign kitchen. Highly recommended.

While cooking, I listen this.

Harmaat ja ehkä hieman yksinäisetkin (new girl in town…) sunnuntait Kuopiossa on parasta viettää hellan äärellä. Tänään vuorossa tabbouleh, ajatuksena että riittäisi seuravaan viikon eväiksikin. Lisäksi olisi hyvä jos tämä edes hieman lievittäisi aivan liian suuriin lukemiin kohonnutta matkakuumetta. Lebanon, anyone?
