Málaga seems to be trendy again. Recently this Spanish city has spent €100m on the arts, including Centre Pompidou and Russian museum outposts. Moreover, one of the most important projects carried out by the County Council of Málaga is the reconstruction of the Caminito del Rey, known as the most scariest hike of the world.
The pathway reopens after extensive safety improvements, which means less risk but same stunning views as always (seen on Youtube). It is also easily reachable from Málaga City, offering a nice place for recreation activities accompanying a trip in this corner of Andalucía.
Some years ago, I was hiking and orienteering near El Chorro, which was already a nice experience in itself, but I think I need to plan a second visit there to experience this pathway also. If you happen to be with same kind of thoughts and already hear the music, I’d advice you to take a look at a new website for Caminito del Rey, which seems to be a good and helpful starting point for the journey. Olé!
